File Attachment

You can process attached files with an assistant that has StorageFiles option enabled. This document explains how to attach files.

Attachment Method​

Files can be attached using one of the following methods: If the file format is not supported by AI-Starter, an error message will be displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen when attaching.

  • Click the "Attach File" button below the message input field and select a file
  • Copy and paste a file into the message input field
  • Drag and drop a file into the message input field

Support Status​

For each assistant, you can choose which settings to enable.

Text Files​

  • Description: Embed text as system prompt
  • Supported models: All models except OpenAI's DALL·E 3
  • File types: .txt, .csv, .html, .md, .json, .xml, .yaml, etc.
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB

Image Files​

  • Description: Utilize image input functionality of each model
  • Supported models: All models that support image input
  • File types:
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB

Document Files​

  • Description: Utilize PDF input functionality of each model
  • Supported models:
    • Claude 3 series and above
    • Gemini series
    • OpenAI ChatGPT-4o Latest
    • OpenAI GPT-4.5 Preview
    • OpenAI GPT-4o mini
    • OpenAI GPT-4o
    • OpenAI o1
  • File types: .pdf, etc.
  • Maximum file size: 4.5 MB

Spreadsheet Files​

  • Description: Utilize spreadsheet input functionality of each model
  • Supported models: Claude 3 series and above
  • File types: .xlsx, etc.
  • Maximum file size: 4.5 MB

Notes

  • Available settings, file formats, and sizes may vary depending on the model.
  • The maximum file sizes mentioned above are AI-Starter limitations. Some models may have stricter limitations.
